Mary Baker Eddy established a model for teaching Christian Science. This model may also serve as a model for communicating the her structure for scientific and spiritual development. Obviously, any work on the scientific development platform on which Christian Science is founded, must necessarily also enhance ones understanding of Christian Science and its application. One must assume that Mary Baker Eddy was aware of this interrelationship and did everything in her power, in an organizational sense, to assure that this would be advanced.

Since the scope of the educational process is enormously vast, especially in Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy has instituted two levels of formal education, and three levels of degrees, as it were.
